Anthony Allen (Tony) Gappa

Anthony (Tony) Allen Gappa, 59, of League City, TX passed away December 30, 2004 in Houston, TX after a battle with Cancer. Tony was born June 11, 1945 to the late Frank and Virginia Gappa in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tony served his country in the United States Army. Tony was employed by Standard Life & Accident Insurance Company for over 43 years. He was a very kind and patient man with a wonderful sense of humor. He put others first and will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Laura Gappa; daughter, Marci Montemayor and husband Larry; son, Thomas V. Gappa; grandchildren, Greg, Megan, and Kaitlyn; sisters, Catherine Dooley and Mary Gappa. Visitation will be held at Jack Rowe Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 from 5- 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1612 E. Walker League City, TX, 77573. A private internment will follow. In Lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be sent to Southwest Bank, 303 East Main League City, TX 77573 for a college fund set up for Thomas Gappa.
