MARGARET KEEFE
July 6, 1945 - July 30, 2012 GEISMAR, LA Margaret Anne (Peggy) Keefe died on July 30, 2012, at her home in Geismar. She was 67 years old and a long-time resident of Baton Rouge. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services were held on Saturday, August 4, at the St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. She is survived by two daughters and one son and their spouses: Sarah Beth Singer Gagnon and Jeff Gagnon, Margaret Anne Singer Ruebsamen and Kris Ruebsamen, and Robert L. Singer III and Melanie Singer; brothers and sisters: Suzie Keefe Apel, Michael Keefe, Mary Keefe Broussard, Patrick Keefe and Anne Keefe Burton; and grandchildren: Gabriella Anne Gagnon, Henry Blake Singer, Molly Jane Singer, Anna Catherine Ruebsamen and Mason Dean Ruebsamen. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Keefe Hettwer. She is the beloved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy loved the arts and participated in cultural events throughout her life. She never tired of learning; she always sought more knowledge.
